This took a while.
Scanned a bunch of film negatives my Dad shot in the 1970s when he lived in Alberta. A lot of them look like the one on the left. A few scans after this I decided “fuck it” and I turned Digital ICE on the scanner so I wouldn’t have to retouch them for years on end.

The original footage lasts about 20 minutes. I’ve whittled it down to 5 (to keep it in Tumblr’s length restriction.) A lot of the video is nothing, as at 2 points throughout the video the camera is rolling as he is talking to people, most likely police officers. At one point in the video, he seems to be inside the offices of the Port Authority Police (a NYTimes article from Nov 2001 states it is the “Emergency Control Center.”) The video is without sound. Fairbanks has stated that the FBI stripped it of its audio (possibly because of the footage where he is in the Port Authority police offices and talking to police officers.) He has noted that there was only 5 minutes of audio.
This footage aired on September 11 on ABC during their 9/11 coverage.
To note, this footage has been “analysed”, and “studied” and questioned repeatedly by the “truthers” as many of them believe the video (mainly the plane impact portion) has somehow been faked or manipulated (many of them forgetting how primitive video effects were in 2001. He faked it and did it fast enough to have it aired on ABC at 5pm that afternoon? Get serious here guys.)
